Hun & I went strawberry picking the other day as its strawberry season !!! .. We actually found out the Perth has some strawberry farms that you can PYO (Pick-Your-Own) !! :)
Sounds interesting right .. So we went to do some research ..
We found this website :

We did'n't see any reviews of this place but decided to try out anyway .. So we explored our way there !
The address is : 263 Old West Road, Bullsbrook
I think they have a facebook page , where you can check for updates on whether the farm is open or not on the day that you plan to visit ! Please check before going there ... :) Opening time is 9am-4.30pm .. GO EARLIER...
Yay so we got that sorted , lets move on to sharing my experience !
Driving to the strawberry farm took about 1 hour from the Perth CBD area ...
*Remember to bring Hat , Shades, WATER & Sun screen !!!!*
*Do not expect too much*
*Suggest check the weather before you go .. the day we went is sunny and like 30deg omg killer*
It's just a bare essentials strawberry farm ! Lucky they sold some soft drinks and water & ONE PORTABLE TOILET .. but that was about it ! Haha ...
2015 Pricing is : (from their web)
$10 per tray (includes entry for 1 person)
plus $2 per person in the 'group'
Maximum 5 people per tray

We paid $12 for 2 pax , One tray !
Regret wearing shoes because all the black sand / soil got into my shoes and it got really dirty :( my shoes almost spoil .... Better wear slippers / flipflops !!!!

Its a really LARGE AREA farm ... OMG ... its really very huge ! Walk from one end to another maybe 20mins or more !
The lady suggested us to walk to the end , got more strawberries there.. Front few rows normally get picked out faster !
It was really winding but scorching sun .....
This is our first time strawberry picking and they are so cute .... :D

HALFWAY , ALREADY SHAG ....
It was rather backbreaking work !!!! Under the hot sun !!!!
Had to bend down and find nice ones and pick them.. One By One .. OMG...
But if the weather was cooler, we would have picked the whole tray overflowing !! Which we saw some people do that .. Haha ...
The sun was killer and too hot to handle so we quickly filled up the tray ...
*Remember there is no shaded spot there!!!*
But we already picked enough for us to last like 2 weeks ... -.-
The drive back :) Lovely blue skies ....
Went to google so many strawberry recipes as we did not know what to do with them ALL ??!!!!
So I homemade some (I don't usually cook but its possible to make these!):
- Homemade Strawberry Jam (super easy!!! goes so well with bread)
- No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake
- Strawberry Smoothies
- Add them to Yoghurt and Desserts
STRAWBERRY EVERYTHING , CANNOT FINISH ...
Anyway overall it was a fun experience but only hoped that the weather was more forgiving ... :)
Go when its cooling , you will sure enjoy it ... And its easier to fill up the tray with 3 people or more .. 2 persons quite tough ! Hahahaaa.... Get ready for exercise :)
