Hi friends ! 

Been so busy and neglected this little space , but we have so much to blog about so just bear with us !

Just wanted to share an interesting experience of a "condom" themed restaurant we visited during our last trip to Bangkok, <CABBAGES & CONDOMS>

It was only about 5 minutes walk from Asok Station, quite convenient location as you can come over here after shopping !

Come to dine here for a cause as well ! Here's the background of the concept and reason for the restaurant :

It was a really fun dinner and the food was delicious ! I shall let the pics tell the story :)

we arrived on weekend night without reservations and only the inside seating was available.. but the outdoor was so pretty (abit hot) .. look at the pics below for outdoor seating !

Ok lets start to order !!! we ordered so much ..... look at the amount of food we ate. everything tasted delicious and its about singapore restaurant price, i remember we spent about SGD$70 or so on this meal .. excluding alcoholic drinks.. 

first up, appetizer ! this is a type of leaf with coconut shreds and mince meat.. nice ~

this is my favourite, soft shelled crabs fried with egg and spicy sauce :D

i know we eat A LOT for 2 pax but we kinda used to eating a lot, thats why fat LOL

and you're free to take a condom as souvenir ! HAHAHA 

might want to buy some gifts from the retail shop ~

overall we felt that we had a fantastic dinner here , service was good, food was delicious and its a fun experience in this themed restaurant ! would definitely recommend to dine here for a dinner in BKK :) btw, you can check their website for menu prices ! i think they have it there ~

Batam 2015 : Sri Enam Seafood Batam Review !!

During our Batam trip last week, we decided to drop by Sri Enam Seafood for lunch !!

The location is about 8 mins taxi drive away from Batam Centre Ferry Terminal. It costs us S$5 for the taxi fare ..

This is the frontage of the restaurant .. It is along a row of shophouses.

Interior - we arrived early thus not much people eating yet !

Simple menu .. This is their entire menu . I saw on Tripadvisor that their crabs were the best but we just didnt feel like eating crabs that day .

Crabs - By the way , crabs are about S$35 per kg and the Hepo slipper lobster (basically it is crayfish) is S$28 per kg at the time we visited.

Decided to order some stuff as below.. I didnt take picture of the hepio (fishmaw) soup but its nice !!! Served on top of a little stove ..

Prawns - mum couldnt take spicy so we ordered steamed prawns. They told us the prawns is fresh one ... But the taste is so-so.. Its reared prawns taste and it is small size.. Dont expect tiger prawns... Haha

CRAYFISH !!! Ah ha! This is the star of the show - CEREAL CRAYFISH !!! Yummy and its really fresh !!! We ordered 1kg only costs us S$28 .. So we 4 pax had 1.5 crayfish each.. Lol.. Eat till shiok .. I prefer this to crabs as this is so much easier to eat ! hahaha...

We also ordered veggies and garlic fried chicken. The chicken is nice and i think you should order ... Very fragrant ! 

The belachan chilli is freshly made and its really shiok !

We ordered crayfish, hepio soup, prawns, veg, and chicken .. 5 dishes .. Take note that the dishes will take long time to be served ! Haha.. We waited maybe 35mins for the crayfish ..

Total bill for us was SGD70 for 4 pax .. Price seem OK.. Maybe should have tried crab??!! .. I really liked the cereal crayfish though :)

IKOI Japanese Restaurant Review, Miramar Hotel [FOOD TALK]

Hello Everyone !!!!

We celebrated our recent monthsary at IKOI Japanese Restaurant, at Miramar Hotel !

It was our first time trying out this place as we checked that the price was pretty affordable for a Japanese Ala Carte Buffet ! And we were very lucky to get seats.. maybe because we went on a weekday but it was still full ! Haha..

Dinner for adult was S$38++ each ! [Which includes free flow sashimi... hurhur]

Let's get started ~

Once we entered Miramar Hotel, the restaurant entrance is right beside the lift lobby ! Impossible to miss it :)

Took a picture of the menu ! It is quite extensive .. Order the items and they will come to you ! But would recommend you to order "more" first.. as the food is prepared after order so it may be quite slow at times ! I guess we quite lucky to arrive before the large crowds of people so our food came quite fast LOL...

The buffet price also come with Appetizer , Seafood soup and a Salmon hotpot which is not included in the menu !

Seafood Soup is served ! It is served one pot for 2 persons.. quite yummy !



We began to order a lot of food from the menu .. as all the food takes time to prepare !

Our sashimi boat ! Just tell the staff to prepare sashimi boat for 2 pax ... and tell them what you don't want .. we don't eat tako (octopus) .. so we didn't order that..

  

Mini tempura soba ! The tempura was crispy and good.. especially the vegetables ..

  

Ordered some sushi too .. hehe.. although rice is so filling



Our salmon miso hotpot for 2.. sharing portion, its quite big !

We couldn't finish some of the sashimi so we just put into the hotpot to cook it in the soup.. Haha..

Gotta say that for this price the buffet is very worthwhile ! The sashimi is of very good quality similar to what we would get at Sakuraya Fish Market, which is one of our favourite haunts too..

The sashimi is fresh and it's served chilled :) which I like .. and this sashimi platter itself would easily cost us more than 25 bucks at any other restaurant ! Some more it is free flow .... Haha

Rated 4.5/5 for buffet .. the 0.5 is because the seats are too close to each other when we sat at the counter seats, because no tables left.. haha... Cheers !
