Baan Sabai Spa Bangkok Review 2016

Hi everyone !

On our recent trip to Bangkok , we visited Baan Sabai Spa !

We love spas and trying new places so we decided to give this place a try :)

Did some research online and saw this place highly reviewed, rather near to our stay as well .

Address: 76 Soi Sukhumvit 26, Khwaeng Khlong Tan, Khet Khlong Toei, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand

Nearest BTS: Phrom Phong BTS

We did book online before hand through their booking form for a massage session (2hours), there is more information on their website, can go take a look if you are considering to go :)

On the map it looks kinda near to the Phrom Phong BTS but actually not really !!! Its about 15mins walk .. and under the hot sun , I kept asking are we there yet?!!

But on along the way , we passed by many seemingly authentic Japanese restaurants... Interesting..

So we finally reached this place ! There are some standalone restaurants around it ..

The Baan Sabai Spa is like a bungalow house in residential area ..

So we stepped into the place (was 10mins late but OK) .. and served tea and look at the menu ..

Btw, if you are looking for cheap and good massage, this is not the place..

It's quite expensive , they call themselves "luxury" spa for a reason :P

The service is good and we were served tea , towels , given a questionaire to fill up regarding which parts to avoid pressing hard etc and chose our Scrub flavour & Aroma Oil type ! ^^

We did request for Couple Room and the room was like WOW so nice !!! See below for pics..

All the pics are in the SAME ROOM !!! Room all to ourselves !! The aircon and smell is fantastic..

Everything smelt so nice and beautifully decorated, sorry if my pics not nice, cos of low light and all non-edited, haha !

Jacuzzi !!!!!

Shower and Toilet !!!

Wide Angle Lens shot

I did 1 hour Aromatherapy Massage and 1 hour body scrub , while Chee did 2 hours Thai massage ..

The masseuse is skillful and good ! Speaks English too :) Enjoyed the massage session thoroughly, felt away from the bustling BKK ! Just that the Aroma oil I felt is not fragrant enough, maybe just my personal preference (I'm a scent person)

All in all , we spent about SGD50-SGD60 each for a 2 hours session , which was OK I felt , cheap by Singapore standards but luxury by BKK standards haha .. But we felt that it was worth it !!

For the special beautiful room and relaxing garden .. ^^

Hope this little review helps! Thanks for reading :)

Reebonz MarketPlace Blog Review (own shopping experience non-sponsored)

Hi everyone , thought I would share my experience on my recent purchase on Reebonz Marketplace .

Prior to this, I did purchase several items from Reebonz themselves before when I had credits and discount codes ! Haha ! I also did sell items through Closets before as well ... :) But this is my first time buying from the marketplace ..

Apparently what I understand from Reebonz is that the Marketplace is actually overseas secondhand luxury shops that are verified and sell authentic products .. At first I'm abit skeptical but one fine day I received a 25% discount code from their email mailer and saw something I wanted ! >.<

I read their FAQs on the Marketplace website before purchase and felt comfort that although the item can be used for discount code, it can also be returned if I'm not happy with it .. This is a case by case basis though, remember to check the details of the item , if its not returnable it will be stated there !

About my item; I've actually been looking around for a LV sling bag with top zippers , which are not too large , comfortable size for travel or outdoors.. I am looking for second hand as LV products generally age well haha, my Damier Speedy B 35 is 3 years old this year and still look brand new ! Lol .. And I am not someone who takes meticulous care of my bags.. Just throw on floor and use .. Haha :) I'm not really fussy about the bags I am going to keep for my own use ..

So i came across vintage LV Reporter PM ! Thought that it was really functional and I did do some research to find a good one at a good price ... I looked at Yoogis Closet and found one but the price is more expensive than this one .. When i received the mailer , I saw that this store "Midunoya" based in Osaka, Japan , was selling it on the Reebonz Marketplace thus immediately jumped on the chance !

Pics grabbed from the site which i bought..
They did have many pictures of the bag and I find it quite comprehensive ..

So happy that after applying discount code , the bag is only 400 or so ! Its is good condition, and i wasn't fussy about its condition as it looked OK in the pictures...  I felt it was a great deal so I went ahead to purchase it .. They said that the shipping is expected to be a week or so..

After payment purchase , Reebonz immediately sent me the payment receipt .. And within the same day , they sent me another email to say my item has been shipped !

I was expected the shipment to reach next week but within 2 days of the shipped email , i received a DHL slip at my doorstep (i was not at home) .. Thus went to collect my shipment Self Collection at DHL.. They do offer you several options to deliver your shipment ..

But i got to say that maybe not every item from Marketplace is shipped by DHL.. Cos i'm only sharing my own experience and mine is DHL :)

So i went to DHL to collect my shipment !! On Day 4 of the purchase I have received my goods already ^^ happy !! So efficient !!

It was well packaged though..

First thing that I saw when I opened the box...

Bag wrapped in Bubble wrap !
This bag comes with nothing, it is described as in the product description.. So immediately checked the date code on the bag , as per product description as well .. And the smell and feel.. Its authentic .. :)

Very pleased with my purchase and the bag looks newer than expected !!! I checked everything and Inside is very clean and everything is working and intact , best of all is the price i got it  very worth it :) hehe !!! I will update with outfit pics when i bring it out, it seems perfect for traveling :))

Just sharing my personal experience shopping with Reebonz Marketplace and hope you find good deals there too :) happy shopping !!

Rock Bar Bali Review - Ayana Resorts and Spa 2015

Hello dear friends !

This is a super long overdue post about our fantastic experience @ the Rock Bar Bali
(Visited in May 2015)

We went to the Rock Bar one evening while we were staying at the Ayana Resort.
This bar belongs to the resorts but non-guests can come dine / chill here as well .

This has got to be the most beautiful bar I have ever been .. It's literally on the cliff face , and it occupies a horizontal area along the cliff .. ! We thought the whole idea of building a bar on the cliff near the sea is very amazing .. a little scary but W-O-W experience really...

What an eye-opener !

FYI , Ayana Resort and RIMBA Guests have priority entry to the Rock Bar , we did get priority ! (Show your room card & room number !)

View of the Rock Bar from the Top of Ayana Resort (looking down)..

Do you see the white little block on the left side of the picture ? That is a "lift" from the top , so that you don't have to take the stairs to go down .. By stairs, I mean really quite a lot of stairs ..
This lift is the most direct access to the Rock Bar ..

Resort Guests has priority to take the lift too ! There is only one lift and each time can take abt 6 pax only..

Taking the lift to the bar .. Going down ..

Oh yes , there is dress code, although I was wearing swim-wear , I just put over a nice cover up dress as you will see below ! And ZW put on a button shirt as well over... I think they do not allow singlets ..

Entered the bar area quite easily at 4.30pm (Weekday-no queue) !

The operating hours are from 16:00-1:00 (until 2:00 on Friday - Saturday)..Although we arrived at 4.30pm (quite early) , the main bar area shown above is already fully occupied !

The thing is , the only serve Beverages & Snacks ! Did not serve full meals ... The menu if I remember is only a few pages , mostly drinks menu ..

But we were extremely lucky to find a sofa set with the sun directly in front of us , and very blessed that it was perfect clear sky weather, AMAZING ! Originally they gave us a table and chair set at the back , blocked view .. No point sitting there !! And there are not many seats with unblocked views..

The sofa seat needed a minimum spend , of SGD 80 (as I remembered May'2015) and it was OK for us , so we went ahead to just "pay" for the view .. Haha ...

As the Sun was not setting just yet , they handed us umbrellas to shield the sun .. and it didn't really help much but we were there for a tan anyways :P

The view from our sofa seat !!! (sofa occupy 2 pax)

Just sitting facing the sun , sweating like ?~ and waiting for it to set. It was really a very clear day!

Please remember sunnies , they are lifesavers :)

Our food is here ! We ordered Popcorn Chicken and Calamari Rings !
Both are very good :) and its about Singaporean Bar prices .. about SGD 15 each ?! Pretty OK for the unique location ...

Our drinks are here ! Lychee Margarita Ice Blended OMG so damn good & another drink I forgot , watermelon vodka?? Not sure but I'm certain there is watermelon in it.. :D Super shiok !

Let the rest of the pics show how awesome this bar is .. hehe ^^

If you can see the pic of us above, above our heads on the right side will be the cliff pool (see the glass panels) ! Access by stairs .. On the right of our heads is also the rest of the Rock Bar Sitting Area.. The Iconic Glass Balcony sitting area is on the left side.. If you get what I mean ..

Panorama View of our seat .. on the left is where the cliff pool is ..
On the right is the rest of the rock bar..

The most AWESOME view of the sunset right before our eyes ! Can never forget this experience !
The whole sunset took about 1.5hours..

The sun just literally fell into the ocean .. I actually have a timelapse viedo of it but it isn't uploading here .. -.-

But the pics are all UNEDITED !!!!! The colors are THAT vibrant .. Pics taken on Iphone :D

Overall it was an amazing amazing experience and worth every cent paid ... Although its expensive for Bali standards, I still think this is worth the visit ..

Our visit was probably made perfect due to the fact that we are guests with priority entry and got really good seats !! (come early and eat/drink slowly) & GOOD WEATHER!!! .. On weekends surely damn crowded...

If you want to visit , please come for the sunset *Check the Weather* .. Cos after the sunset, there's nothing much to see except hearing the crash of the waves against the rocks .. If you like that :)

After checking out from the bar , we went to the Cliff pool for a swim to enjoy the orangey hue of the sunset .. It really was a fantastically clear weather day !! the colours were out of this world .. :D

Sharing our personal experience on Rock Bar Bali Review, hope you all enjoy :)

We'll share our experience of Ayana Resorts (stayed here for 2 nights in Club Room) in another post !

Cheers ! XOXO
