MONTIGO RESORTS VILLAS REVIEW (August 2015)

Hello friends !

Here's a very long overdue post on our National Day Holiday (9th August) Trip to Montigo Resorts @ Nongsa !! 

Ferry from SG to Nongsa terminal is about 40mins or so ...

We went for 2D1N stay at the HillTop Villas , I felt 2D1N is quite sufficient to explore Montigo - take the afternoon ferry the next day ! 

So just let the pictures do the talking ;

The view from the check in lobby area , the issue is that the check in time is a standard 3pm (which is very late!!) and we arrived at the place at around 1pm after having lunch ... So we waited for about 2 hours .. But during this 2 hours we kept pestering them to give us a good villa view and they did !!! Hahahaha, we got No.8 Villa .. Which is probably the best view Hilltop villa ;)

The staff were very thoughtful and even gave us a plate of fruits, basket of kueh kueh (little snacks) & even red SG50 cookies !!!! Hahahaha so cute !

After dipping in the pool and finish watching SG50 , we headed out to dinner !!! 

We decided to have dinner at the Bar which was facing the pool ~~ 

The food was surprisingly up to standard !! Haha .. Esp the drumlets -- so nice ! 

Pizza too !

And we could see the Singapore Fireworks from here !! Lol !!

The beach area ~~ its not directly at the sea .. You can't swim in the sea , its one level up .. If you want to swim in the sea or do water sports , the staff will drive you to a nearby beach resort , which is i think Turi beach resort .. 

NEXT MORNING :

Villa no.8 is superb view !! 

Went for a morning walk before breakfast and explore around .. 

This is the treehouse playhouse for kids , looks super fun !

We then headed for breakfast , our package included breakfast for 4 :) and it is quite delicious !! The spread is quite acceptable and decent .... & things look pretty ~~~ 

 

There were also some cooking stations ..

Back to the room for another quick relaxing dip before going out to the main pools ! 

 

There are total of 2 pools .. This pool below and the main infinity pool which is beside the bar .. 

 

The is the main pool where everyone takes their classic montigo shot .. Hahahaa

Its right next to the sea but you can't swim in the sea 

So that's the end of our relaxing 2D1N trip to Montigo resorts ! They had a shuttle bus to the ferry terminal which took us there to take our ferry back to SG.

Frankly if you wanna just chill , do nothing and just hangout with your fellow friends/family , this is a good idea ! Its's also not really cheap, about SGD 100 per person per night (4pax price) .... But its a good experience.. And the places are quite photogenic .. I felt that the villa is too big for a couple (2pax) .. Hahaha

But if you're thinking of shopping and exploring batam , going for massage and food stuff , I personally won't recommend brcause the food choice are quite limited here.. I think they have 3 restaurants , not cheap .. And the distance to shopping places like Nagoya Hill Shopping Area and other Malls like BCS are at least 30 to 40 mins drive away !! 

You can try to order the BBQ set  , they can set up and BBQ on your villa rooftop , we didnt try cos it was fully booked
