KRABI ROYALS 2015
Soooooo The Royals (*my poly clique name) finally went on a group holiday to KRABI :)))
We were always talking about travelling together again after our BINTAN trip 2 years ago.. so during our meetup we just decided to book and go ! Glad that we did, because if you don't just book it , nothing will happen ! haha.... Krabi is our best choice because its cheap, near, good and fun for group ! Some of us have been to Phuket before and didn't like it ...

So its about SGD 156.58 PER PAX for our return flight, quite cheap :D

I'm always the one who books all the stays for ANY trip, so I was the one who booked the villa !
We decided to stay in a villa as it was more private for our group and we wanted our space and pool, hehe.. So I sourced booking.com for the villa stay :) booking.com is my favourite and most trusted booking site, been on over 20 stays with them and all is so smooth ! Love how the website works too :)
I found this villa -- called Baan Ja Id which is comparably near to the beach as compared to other villas. It's operated by Krabi Villas ! Pics are from Google.

Party of 7 friends stayed here for our 4d3n stay in Krabi . Arranged for pickup at the Krabi Airport about 30min away, by a new and spacious van !!! 1000 baht for each way !
We were welcomed by Vishal, the villa manager who gave us a tour of the house. This villa is lovely being spacious and comfy- 2 storey, 4 rooms 3 bathrooms and a living room each on 1st floor and 2nd floor complete with a open kitchen (with full utensils) and dining area beside the pool ! We love this layout very much. The house cleaners come everyday to do housekeeping and cleaning of our dishes. Overall it's clean and comfortable :)
Its located a 3 min stroll from the main street on a small but safe lane, about a 15 to 20 mins walk down to the beach . There is 7-11 and family mart about 5 min walk from the villa. While walking along the street to the beach, there is plenty to eat and do... On the weekend we even had a small night market outside the villa :) it's a quiet spot yet considerably near to the beach .
Best things about the stay :
1) villa manager passed us a hand phone where he is on standby for us - we asked him about tours and transport arrangement he replied friendly and promptly ^^ the transport he arranged was fantastic ! Very new spacious and fun ride
2) we were free to use Tuk Tuk driver San from 9 am to 10pm around Ao Nang area !!! Just give him a call and 15mins later he will appear :))) we got him to pick and drop us up a few times ! The Tuk Tuk is a 8 seater !! Love this service .
** Generally we feel safe but remember to lock the doors at night and keep windows shut all times to prevent insects coming in... We kept the curtains drawn as well ..
Just a point to the manager, maybe you can consider to make the fencing of the villa higher .. will feel safer :)

Overall we had a fantastic comfortable stay for the 7 of us, and I believe the villa can occupy up to 8 or 9 ! It was really OK Value for Money for the place , which our 3 night stay costed $1470 , as we are 7 pax, per pax is about $210 per night :) worth it la !!!!
It is a 2 storey villa well fitted with amenities, suitable for group stay as it has 4 bedrooms ! As well as private pool :) just that the pool water is abit cold ! Best of all, we have a complimentary tuktuk service .. just give the driver a call 10mins before and he will be there! there's certain timing though...

The plane ride was really fast, say 1.30hrs only !! haha ... the pilot was way speeding !!
Pre-arranged pick up from Krabi Airport which is 30min away from the villa ...
the Immigration took damm long to clear zomg..
but we never expected the van for pick up to be so luxurious --- like pimp my ride!! All the vans they used to pick us up are super shiok and pimp my ride vans bahahaha :D The charge for airport transfer is THB 1000 one way for the whole van ....
Greeted by a lovely pool when entering our villa ! Its very close to the main road ... there's 7-11 and FamilyMart just 5 mins walk out .. hehe

We were also hunting for tour agencies to sign up for tours for our next 2 days ! Decided to do island hopping and more island hopping.. also due to budget as island hopping is cheaper than ATV or gun shooting , no interest in elephants either... Lol.. I will elaborate in Day 2 and Day 3 ! Haha !
DINNER WE FELL FOR IT !!!
Kena pulled in by one Indian promoting the restaurant hard selling, we saw it was crowded and thought well this might be OK .. Lol.., it was OK, but really OK only. The restaurant name is Tandoori King or something IIRC, the famous restaurant in Krabi is called Tandoori Nights -.- super funny .... its not that cheap too we later found out .. hahaaaa
Along the way up from the restaurant , if you see this "pancake" stall, ITS A MUST TRY . SO DAMN GOOD. Basically their pancakes are like our roti-prata with various toppings... Its really so nice and crispy, the stall sells fruit shakes too.. super addicted to fruit shakes during this trip, cheap and sooo gooood :D
